Last month, an exciting local pop-up art event took place in our very own Windsor Riverview Community Space - the WRV Art Space. This exceptional exhibition featured a stunning collection of vibrant artworks crafted by the talented Year 8 students from Bede Polding College.
Creative and Performing Arts
Leader of Learning from Bede Polding College, Angela Rando says "over the last 4 years Bede Polding College has participated in the Artist in Residence Program, with selected students working with artist Johnny Romeo, an internationally acclaimed painter considered Australia's leading Pop artist.
To further extend their 21st century learning skills and the real-world learning experience of working with a practising artist, our students were afforded the wonderful opportunity to exhibit their work at the Windsor Riverview Shopping Centre as part of the WRV Art Space Pop-up Gallery Event. This was an invaluable experience. With much excitement, our Year 8 students had the opportunity to discuss and exhibit their work for the local community, and understand the significance of art in the contemporary world."
