In light of COVID-19, Advance Medical Centre has implemented strategies to minimise cross infection.

April 10, 2020

The majority of consults will be over the phone but our GPs will instruct you or receptions if you need to come in for Physical examinations, Immunizations, Flu vaccines, Dressing, Procedures etc. Appointments can be made via online or telephone to practice for Telehealth services.

  • GPs are providing phone consultations only.
  • If a patient is required to attend the practice for a particular service, they are phone triaged by a GP to ensure there is no risk to the community.
  • Patients are advised that if they are sick, to stay home.
  • Patients that are well, are encouraged to practice good hand hygiene including regular washing of hands and using the provided hand sanitiser.

Within the practice,

  • All waiting room chairs are far apart to ensure social distancing.
  • Hand sanitiser, tissues and masks are available for patients if needed.
  • Handles, pens etc are cleaned regularly.

Advance Medical Centre is still offering flu vaccinations to patients who are not sick and who are first phone triaged.
